Excess Menstrual Bleeding Ghee

Supports Heavy Menstrual Bleeding, Spotting, Fibroids, Cramps, and Uterine Inflammation

Balances Hormones and Eases Pelvic Discomfort

About Formula

Ayurvedic Excess Bleeding Ghee—traditionally known as Ashoka Ghritam—is a classical Ayurvedic formulation used to support women's reproductive health, especially in conditions of excessive or irregular menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), spotting, pelvic pain, or fibroids.

Made by slowly infusing medicinal herbs like Ashoka, Lodhra, and Shatavari into pure cow ghee, this formula strengthens the uterus, regulates hormonal function, and calms the nervous system. It is especially helpful for managing inflammatory and bleeding disorders of the female reproductive system, including uterine inflammation, excessive discharge, and irregular or painful cycles.

Key Benefits:

  • Regulates heavy menstrual bleeding and spotting
  • Alleviates menstrual cramps, back pain, and pelvic discomfort
  • Balances female hormones and promotes a regular cycle
  • Supports uterine health and tissue healing
  • Useful for fibroids, cysts, and hormonal imbalances
  • Enhances overall vitality and reproductive well-being
About Herbs

Ashoka Ghritam is prepared using time-honored Ayurvedic techniques, where potent herbs are decocted into ghee for deep absorption and systemic healing.

  • Ashoka (Saraca indica): Astringent and uterine tonic; regulates bleeding, tones the uterus, and alleviates pain
  • Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa): Controls excessive discharge and bleeding; supports hormonal balance
  • Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus): Nourishes and strengthens the female reproductive system; helps with hormone regulation
  • Nagakesara (Mesua ferrea): Astringent and anti-inflammatory; controls bleeding and reduces inflammation
  • Yashtimadhu (Licorice Root): Balances hormones, calms inflammation, and reduces spasmodic pain
  • Durva (Cynodon dactylon): Cooling and hemostatic; reduces internal heat and supports blood regulation
  • Cow Ghee: Acts as a nourishing carrier that improves absorption, calms Vata, and supports hormone metabolism

This blend of herbs is especially effective for addressing excess Pitta (heat) and Vata (irregularity) in the reproductive system.
