About Formula

Traditionally used to soothe heat-induced headaches and calm Pitta in the head and eyes

This targeted Ayurvedic formula is traditionally used to reduce the intensity and frequency of Pitta-type headaches—those marked by sharp pain, eye irritation, light sensitivity, and emotional tension. According to classical Ayurvedic texts, excess Pitta in the blood and liver can manifest as burning headaches, migraines, and pressure behind the eyes.

This formula combines deeply cooling, anti-inflammatory, and nervine herbs that address both acute symptoms and long-term imbalances. When taken at the first sign of discomfort, it may reduce severity and prevent escalation. Regular use supports emotional stability, eye health, and vascular balance in the brain.

Key Benefits:

  • Traditionally used to relieve sharp, frontal, heat-related headaches
  • Soothes red, burning eyes and visual sensitivity
  • Cools excess Pitta in the mind, blood, and liver
  • Calms the nervous system and supports emotional control
  • Reduces headache recurrence linked to hormonal and digestive heat
  • Safe for both short-term relief and long-term prevention
About Herbs

Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus): Known in Ayurveda for its cooling and anti-inflammatory actions. Traditionally used to calm internal heat, reduce tension, and support hormonal and emotional balance.

Guduchi Satva (Tinospora cordifolia extract): A refined, starchy extract used historically to detoxify the blood, cool excess Pitta, and reduce inflammatory pain—particularly in the eyes and head.

Kamadudha Ras: A classical Ayurvedic compound traditionally used for acid reflux, burning sensations, and emotional heat. Known to pacify Pitta and support mental calmness during intense headaches.

Godani Bhasma (Pearl Calcium Ash): Revered for its ability to support eye health, reduce visual strain, and calm sensitivity to light. Used historically in cases of burning eyes, dizziness, and Pitta migraines.

Shankhpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis): A calming, mind-nourishing herb used to relieve stress, enhance clarity, and reduce nervous system irritation that contributes to headache onset.

Rasana (Pluchea lanceolata): Traditionally used to relieve inflammation and muscular tension. Known to reduce pain in the head, neck, and shoulders caused by heat, toxins, or overexertion.

Together, these herbs form a comprehensive formula to soothe both acute and chronic heat-based headaches, particularly those rooted in Pitta imbalances in the blood, liver, and mind.

Tips & Notes

Dietary guidelines: Follow a Pitta-reducing diet: avoid spicy, oily, sour, and fermented foods. Emphasize cooling herbs and foods such as cilantro, mint, cucumbers, and fresh greens. Avoid hot sun exposure and overstimulation from screens or strong lights during headaches.

This formula is traditionally used in Ayurveda to support relief from heat-based and emotionally triggered headaches. According to classical teachings, Pitta accumulation in the blood, liver, and mind can cause upward-moving heat, leading to visual strain, migraines, and frontal pressure. This tonic works by balancing that heat while calming the nervous system and strengthening vascular integrity.

Note: These Ayurvedic formulas are more powerful than teas, tinctures, or single herbs. You will notice many of these formulas are often formulas within formulas totaling up to 50 herbs in one product. Ayurvedic products are generally used for specific health issues and often for different types of health issues based on Vata, Pitta, or Kapha imbalances. Thus, read about each product carefully before purchasing.

For complex or chronic headache conditions, it is recommended to do a Zoom appointment with Khabir who can provide custom formulas and a supportive Ayurvedic diet plan.
