About Herbs
Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) – Known in Ayurveda for rejuvenating kidney function and increasing urine flow. Traditionally used to tone the bladder and support healthy urinary elimination.
Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) – A powerful diuretic and anti-inflammatory herb. Traditionally used to reduce fluid retention, cleanse the kidneys, and support healthy urination.
Chandraprabha – A classical Ayurvedic formula containing 27 herbs traditionally used to support urinary system function, detoxification, and glandular balance.
Varuna (Crataeva nurvala) – Used historically to reduce swelling and assist with the passage of urine. Supports the elimination of urinary tract obstructions and promotes diuresis.
Shilajit – A mineral-rich resin prized in Ayurveda for restoring organ function and vitality. Traditionally used to strengthen kidney tissue, increase urine flow, and improve energy levels.
These herbs are combined for their traditional synergy in detoxifying the urinary tract, improving kidney filtration, and promoting fluid balance.

Dietary guidelines: Follow a Kapha- and Vata-reducing diet: light, warm, easy-to-digest foods. Avoid cold drinks, heavy dairy, fried foods, and excess salt. Minimize fluid intake after 6 p.m. if you experience nighttime urination.
Dietary changes are important for effective treatment and long-term kidney support.
Common Causes of Nocturia (Nighttime Urination):
- Kidney weakness or early-stage kidney disease
- Enlarged prostate (in men)
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Excess fluid or caffeine intake during the day
- Magnesium supplements taken at night
- Weak bladder tone or blood sugar imbalance
- Hot, spicy, or salty foods at dinner
Common Causes of Swelling in the Legs:
- Poor circulation or venous insufficiency (especially with cold feet)
- Kidney weakness or reduced GFR
- Liver or heart function issues
- Medication side effects (e.g., NSAIDs, calcium channel blockers)
- Lymphatic congestion or blood clots
Note: These Ayurvedic formulas are more powerful than teas, tinctures, or single herbs. Many are formulas within formulas, totaling up to 50 herbs in one product. Ayurvedic remedies are typically selected according to your body type (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) and the root cause of your imbalance—so review each product carefully before purchasing.
