About Formula
This powerful Ayurvedic formula is traditionally used for Kapha-related respiratory infections, where symptoms include thick mucus, productive cough, congestion, and low-grade fever. Based on renowned classical compounds like Mahasudarshan, Talisadi Churna, and Sitopaladi Churna, the formula is enhanced with mucus-clearing, expectorant, and immune-boosting herbs to support lung function and eliminate infection at its root.

According to Ayurveda, lung infections with phlegm and congestion arise from aggravated Kapha and Vata, often due to cold, damp weather or weakened digestion. This heating and purifying formula balances Kapha while protecting Pitta and Vata.

Traditionally used to support:
  • Clearing mucus from the lungs and sinuses
  • Relieving wet cough and respiratory congestion
  • Opening airways and easing inflamed breathing passages
  • Supporting natural fever reduction and detoxification
  • Enhancing immune strength and respiratory resistance
This is a deep-cleansing formula for short-term use during acute infections involving mucus, cold symptoms, or low immunity.
About Herbs
  • Mahasudarshan – A classical Ayurvedic formula of 50+ herbs known for detoxifying the body, reducing fever, and improving immune resistance against respiratory infections.
  • Talisadi Churna – Traditionally used to reduce Kapha, clear mucus, and relieve coughing; a common base in lung infection treatments.
  • Kantakari – Known in Ayurveda to relieve asthma, bronchitis, and wet coughs; breaks up phlegm and calms inflammation.
  • Vasaka (Adhatoda vasica) – A strong bronchodilator and expectorant; traditionally used to loosen and expel phlegm while reducing lung inflammation.
  • Licorice (Yashtimadhu) – A soothing demulcent; calms throat irritation and supports mucus release.
  • Trikatu – A heating blend of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger; stimulates digestion, clears channels, and enhances bioavailability of other herbs.
  • Sitopaladi Churna – A 5-herb classical formula used to ease breathing, clear phlegm, and relieve congestion in both children and adults.
These herbs work synergistically to remove excess Kapha, purify the lungs, and strengthen immune defense against respiratory pathogens.
How to Take
Dosage:
Take 1 teaspoon in 1/8 cup of warm water with raw honey to form a syrup-like texture.

How to Take:
Sip slowly. Do not drink water immediately after to allow the syrup to coat the throat and airways.

Frequency:
Take 3–4 times daily, especially during fasting or a mono-diet of hot garlic soup with ginger and onion. Increase during acute episodes, then reduce as symptoms improve.

Pair with or one or more of the following:
  • Lung Decongest Tea – Reduces lung mucus and supports easier breathing during infections
  • Cough Tea – Soothes the throat and calms excessive cough due to phlegm
  • Cold & Flu Tea – Traditionally used to reduce fever and chills and support immune recovery
  • Ayurveda Immune Tea – Builds long-term resistance to recurring infections and boosts respiratory immunity
  • Ayurvedic Respiratory Tonic (Productive Version) – Use if infection lingers with wet cough and chronic mucus buildup
Tips & Notes
Dietary guidelines:
Follow a Kapha-reducing diet: Avoid dairy, cold foods, sugar, fried food, bananas, and heavy meals. Eat warm, light, spicy, and brothy foods. Garlic, ginger, black pepper, and turmeric are ideal. Fast on vegetable soups if needed to speed recovery.

Note: These Ayurvedic formulas are more powerful than teas, tinctures, or single herbs. You will notice many of these formulas are often formulas within formulas totaling up to 50 herbs in one product. Ayurvedic products are generally used for specific health issues and often for different types of health issues based on Vata, Pitta, and Kapha imbalances. Thus, read about each product carefully before purchasing.

For major or complex respiratory conditions, it is recommended to book a Zoom consultation with Khabir, who can provide custom herbal protocols and dietary guidance.
